BADALONA, SPAIN | SEPTEMBER 24TH, 2021
The European Performing Science Night (EPSN) is co-funded under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions. It is a Europe-wide public event that brings researchers closer to the public.
EPSN is based in Badalona and proposes a wide range of innovation activities, with a view to supporting the public recognition of researchers, their work, and the value it brings to society. The European Performing Science Night will in itself be a scientific event, where research groups will deploy experiments with a broad spectrum of civil society both online and face to face. Audiences will perform, in artistic terms, fostering an understanding on the research impact on citizens daily life, and encouraging young people to embark on research careers. The project will demonstrate the value of EU investment on EU research, based on EU diversity and the wealth of approaches and languages across communities. La Fura dels Baus and Fundación Épica along five research partners will lead this event.
Within the event, HELIOS had a booth and a project presentation was held Pau Pamplona on September 25h at 17:30. See the recording of the presentation below:
Estel·la Oncins from UAB was interviewed as past of HELIOS participation in the event:
Moreover a special performance is planned for HELIOS. The night has been organized on two major themes: climate change and viruses. HELIOS trust will be tested in climate change, which is an issue that people have heard and is associated with individual actions (use of public transport, recycling, etc.).
The event where the concept of “trust” from HELIOS is researched, was accesible live on YouTube. See the part about HELIOS performance at 01:34:00:
