Virtual event organised by Museu del Disseny de Barcelona
Dec 9th-10th, 2020
Our partners David Falagan and Andreu Belsunces from Escola Massana were invited to the talk “Designing futures in times of emergency” organised by the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona.
The 2-day event took place within the fifth edition of the Design for Living conference, which this year has become a parallel activity to the temporary exhibition Emergency! Designs against COVID-19, and aims to visualize design strategies, ways and resources.
In this sense, HELIOS was showcased as a success story from the use case design perspective and the intensive work WP2 is doing for the definition of potential post-covid scenarios where decentralised social media could be relevant. Also, taking into account the value of the HELIOS Platform for allowing 3rd party developers to build their own decentralised social media apps based on the components available. The presentation “Institutional fictions for research in post-human design” was streamed through the museum’s YouTube account. Watch it now below.
