Sep 14TH - 15TH, 2020
The event endorsed by the European Alliance for Innovation, a leading community-based organisation devoted to the advancement of innovation in the field of ICT, focused on sharing valuable experiences on the design, implementation, deployment, operation and evaluation of smart objects and technologies for social good.
Within the event, our partners Barbara Guidi from the University of Pisa organised the special session OASIS (Open Challenges in Online Social Networks) which was co-chaired by Kevin Koidl from Trinity College Dublin.
The scope of the session was devoted to the impact of Online Social Networks (OSN) considering the involvement of computer sciences for community discovery, information diffusion, social graph analysis, trust, security, privacy, among many others.
Our consortium actively participated in this session through the submission of three research papers showcasing the work and progress made on different topics and technologies covered by HELIOS:
- “Evaluating Posts on the Steemit Blockchain: Analysis on Topics Based on Contextual Cues” (link)
- “A Rewarding Model for the Next Generation Social Media” (link)
- “Fixing Social Media with the Blockchain” (link)
The papers have been published in the ACM International Conference Proceeding Series – ICPS and made available through ACM Digital Library.
