Our partner Tommi Meskanen from the University of Helsinki, presented the paper “Privacy-Preserving Peer Discovery for Group Management in P2P Networks” at the 27th Conference on Open Innovations Association FRUCT (FRUCT 27th) which took place in Trento, Italy, with the option for virtual participation through Zoom platform.
The paper, written in collaboration with Valtteri Niemi from University of Helsinki and Jarkko Kuusikarvi from VTT Finland, was presented virtually, and focuses on the need for peer-to-peer (p2p) communications as current centralized solutions capture and store various information from the people communicating on different digital services, which raise several privacy concerns.
